## Challenge

Unplanned downtime halts construction sites and causes costly delays. Machine data often lacks the context needed for diagnosis, and stakeholders struggle to get a quick, unified view of equipment health.

## What the team learned

A machine carries 84 sensors, yet some problems still slip by unnoticed.

## What they built

The Volvo Human Sensor app. Operators submit daily check-ups and inspections as text and images; cloud AI combines them with sensor data from Volvo's ActiveCare and shares conclusions with operators, mechanics, managers and Volvo's Uptime Center. AR troubleshooting and voice input support inspections.

A system collecting information from the operator to enrich the machine data and allow more insights for more understanding of equipment performance and better predictive maintenance

### Challenge

Don’t you hate not knowing what is wrong with your car? Don’t you hate not having enough information which would enable you to solve the problem?

Downtime on site is the common enemy for all stakeholders on construction sites, causing production stops which leads to costly delays. Mechanical data often lacks context, complicating the accurate diagnosis of issues. Multiple stakeholders struggle to access critical information quickly and easily. The absence of a unified, comprehensive view of equipment health hampers effective decision-making and timely interventions.

### Solution

Introducing the Volvo Human Sensor (HS), a cutting-edge solution designed to revolutionize equipment health management. By integrating human-collected information from the daily check-up of the machine, with machine data from Volvo's existing sensors and systems, particularly through ActiveCare, the Volvo HS provides unparalleled insights into your equipment's condition. Leveraging advanced AI analysis and AR-guided inspections, the Volvo HS minimizes unplanned downtime, ensuring your operations run smoothly and efficiently. Elevate your maintenance strategy with the Volvo HS and experience the future of equipment health management today.
