What happened, step by step.

Challenge

Many people, especially Millennials, dread the dentist, postpone appointments and do not know how to care for their teeth. Medicover Stomatologia asked for a way to make prevention part of everyday life.

What they built

Daisy is a small countertop device with an app. Users collect saliva, run a self check-up and read their general oral health and their risk of caries and gum disease. The app adds personalised tips and a direct line to a dentist.

Impact

The team aims to shift dental care towards prevention: patients monitor their own oral health and avoid the fear of unexpected diagnoses and painful procedures.

A new oral care assistant able to guide the user in taking care of his teeth monitoring the general oral health condition and the risk of the two most important oral
pathologies. Through a self check-up, the user is able to do a real and effective prevention, avoiding the fear linked to unexpected oral problems and painful treatments. Taking care of oral health now it’s easier for patients, receiving personalized tips and staying in touch with our dentist, thanks to the Daisy app.

Challenge

A lot of people, especially Millennials, experience the dentistry in a very negative way, they always postpone the appointments, and they don’t know how to take care of their oral health in the right way. Discover a way to make people take care of their teeth constantly as a part of their lifestyle. Create a solution with a specific focus on prevention.

Solution

Daisy is a personal oral care assistant that supports the user in taking care of his oral health. IT’S A COMPLETE SERVICE that includes the main device, the dedicated app, and the opportunity to stay in contact with the dentist.

The user, doing a self check-up, can monitor his general oral health condition and the risk of the two mouth pathologies: caries and gum disease. The result will appear on Daisy or on the app for detailed information and personalized tips. The user will be able to contact one of the available dentists for suggestions and doubts.

Impact

With our solution we aim to create a lifestyle based on oral care prevention. The goal is to avoid the fear of an unexpected oral diagnosis to the dentist with painful procedures. Our solution gives the possibility to the patient to monitor his oral health condition through a self check-up. The value we give to the user is the control of their oral health condition changing the approach to the dentist experience offering to them the real value of prevention.
