All projects
AdaviseA redesigned in-car interface that teaches drivers in France and China to use driving-assistance systems.ValeoParis FR · Shanghai CNDigital service2023/24

Problem

Many French and Chinese drivers never learned to use driving assistance. Some do not know it exists, others distrust it or cannot decode English acronyms, so it stays off.

What they built

Adavise brings assistance functions to the driver instead of hiding them: a visual gallery with clear descriptions, dashboard recommendations and a gamified reward system with an online community.

Impact

Drivers reconnect with the functions that can save their lives, in the simplest and most attractive way possible.

EMPOWERA workshop and lighthouse PowerApp that let BVG employees build their own software.BVGPotsdam DEProcess2023/24

Problem

How can BVG's bus dispatching system be redesigned for flexible short-term distribution and long-term planning security, with intuitive usability for internal stakeholders?

What they built

EMPOWER pairs a workshop on the low-code platform PowerApps with a purpose-built PowerApp that shows how processes at BVG can be automated and streamlined.

Impact

Faster processes and fewer errors. Employees gain skills for ongoing digitalisation and a culture of continuous improvement.

InsightsOutA programme and web app that bring public and museum perspectives into B2B innovation, for ZEISS and ZKM.ZEISS / ZKMPotsdam DE · Karlsruhe DEService concept2023/24

Problem

Established B2B companies must innovate in unexplored fields with little knowledge of the future. How can public spaces such as museums feed their early innovation process?

What they built

InsightsOut connects innovators, curators, artists and the public through panel discussions, a museum exhibition and a web application with a chatbot that retrieves everything the ecosystem has learned.

Impact

Companies gain external perspectives on societal trends. Museums stay relevant, artists work freely and the public shapes future development.

STEPA one-stop tool that helps international master students with applications, networking and module selection, for KIT.Karlsruhe Institute of TechnologyKarlsruhe DE · Dublin IEDigital service2023/24

Problem

How can institutions such as KIT or TCD digitally support incoming international students in English-language master's programmes with their academic goals and personal development?

What they built

STEP streamlines application management, helps students build a social network and guides them through module selection in one tool.

Impact

International students overlook nothing in the administrative process, find connections faster and align module choices with career goals.

The Volvo HSA system that adds operators' daily check-up observations to machine data for predictive maintenance, for Volvo CE.Volvo Construction EquipmentKarlskrona SE · São Paulo BRDigital service2023/24

Problem

Downtime is the common enemy on construction sites. Machine data lacks context, and stakeholders struggle to access critical information about equipment health.

What they built

The Volvo Human Sensor combines information from the operator's daily check-up with sensor data from Volvo's ActiveCare, supported by AI analysis and AR-guided inspections.

Impact

Richer context for diagnosis and fewer unplanned stops on site.
