AeroAlarm – alarming system in aeroponic farmingAn IoT alarm system that tells aeroponic farmers when crops are at risk.AttractEspoo FIProblem
Aeroponic farms yield nine times more with 90% less water, but the system is fragile. Roots sit in dark, moist space and correct reactions need expert knowledge.
What they built
AeroAlarm gathers real-time data from the root space through an imaging module and IoT platform. An app explains urgency and location, suggests cause and treatment, and connects to experts.
Impact
Faster diagnosis, higher yield and less plant loss make aeroponics viable in cities. Attract gains a use case for its liquid-crystal iAll technology.
Problem
In primary care, patients manage their own medication, risking non-adherence and poor disease control. Existing options remove responsibility entirely or ignore active lifestyles.
What they built
The d-kleep app shows prescriptions in a colour-coded view for easy pillbox filling, with a pharmacist filling service, symptom tracking and appointments. A modular, detachable pillbox fits any routine.
Impact
Patients understand and manage treatment autonomously. Omnicell gains a route to medication management that supports patient autonomy.
Problem
SEW needs to integrate a remote service option into its maintenance offering. Customers expect convenient support, and the choice affects profitability and competitiveness.
What they built
DriveAuto bundles Live Assistance, Serial Lookup, Automatic Documentation, Call Invitation and a Knowledge Base so technicians spend less time on manual tasks and more on customers.
Impact
Customers get prompt help without on-site visits; response times and downtime fall. Technicians work more efficiently.
InCosyA system that collects caregivers' concerns at shift handover and matches them with product solutions.Diakonie BadenMannheim DE · Karlsruhe DEProblem
How might a scalable solution help caregivers take charge of their own well-being and create an attractive work environment?
What they built
InCosy records concerns during shift handovers and suggests curated products. Chosen solutions go to the home lead for purchase and a guided team briefing; caregivers give regular feedback.
Impact
Caregivers shape procurement, home leads find the right tools faster and Diakonie becomes a more attractive employer.
PowerPilotA machine-learning tool that schedules industrial cooling to cut energy costs and carbon emissions.GEAPotsdam DE · Karlsruhe DEProblem
Industrial heating and cooling cause around 10% of industry's carbon emissions. GEA sought a data-driven way to optimise energy use in its compressors and chillers.
What they built
PowerPilot predicts future cooling demand from historical data and optimises machine usage by energy price, carbon emissions or both, including on-site solar power, across one or many plants.
Impact
Lower operating costs and emissions for users. GEA gains a platform that answers customers' demand for carbon-footprint reduction.
Problem
Climate change hits honeybees twice: varroa mites weaken bees and deform larvae, and unstable weather confuses colonies into leaving the hive too early.
What they built
A gateway at the hive entrance combines a varroa treatment module, a tunnel system and a sensor module. Mites are drawn to a larvae-scented chemical while bees pass freely.
Impact
A cost-effective answer to beekeepers' most urgent need and a pathway for digital tools into beekeeping.
Problem
52% of students do not pursue STEM careers because they think the subjects are too hard.
What they built
STEM finity delivers periodic, theme-based boxes with hands-on mini projects that combine storytelling and learning, showing STEM as fun and part of daily life.
Impact
Children develop skills and an early interest in STEM fields.
Problem
Companies face stricter mandates on scope 3 emissions but struggle to record them. Individuals feel powerless and need motivation for lasting change.
What they built
Employees opt into STEP's reward and verification system, earn points for sustainable commutes and exchange them in a marketplace. Employers receive analytics that quantify scope 3 emissions.
Impact
Employees cut their footprint and gain a sense of impact. Employers reduce and report scope 3 emissions and learn what drives behaviour change.
Problem
How can ESG key figures be generated and presented transparently and reliably for corporate customers, from product through production to the whole company?
What they built
TierX tracks shipments, monitors inventory and delivers analytics on supply-chain performance. Automation and predictive analytics help companies assess supplier risks.
Impact
Full visibility into supply chains and comprehensive risk assessments of suppliers.
UpSandA data-powered fuel-expense service for fleets with in-app payment, manager analytics and vehicle hardware.EdenredParis FR · São Paulo BRProblem
Identify the main issues in how fleets pay for fuel, across managers, drivers and station staff, and make the process more comfortable and faster.
What they built
Drivers pay for fuel in an app that reports automatically. Managers analyse expenses in a service centre with a chatbot assistant. Hardware (TUB in France, OBD in Brazil) collects real-time vehicle data.
Impact
Smoother reporting for drivers and more reliable data for managers. Edenred is discussing further development to bring Upsand to market.
