Problem

Intel Ireland needs large amounts of natural gas and wants to cut fossil-fuel dependency. Ireland lacks the renewable infrastructure and biowaste to meet that demand.

What they built

Participating farms receive anaerobic digesters. BioNet collects the biogas, upgrades it to biomethane on the Intel campus and coordinates logistics, regulatory compliance and technical support for farmers.

Impact

Farmers gain a new revenue stream with technical and regulatory help. Intel reduces reliance on fossil fuels and lowers carbon emissions.

Problem

Urban housing forces trade-offs between space, location, privacy and community. Managed residences offer convenience but little control, while rising costs shrink what people can afford.

What they built

Bonjour Living is built around four zones: a private apartment, a small cluster sharing occasional amenities, building-wide spaces such as gardens and coworking, and public-facing areas that connect to the neighbourhood.

Impact

Residents gain flexibility, comfort and community and can stay longer. VINCI gets stronger tenant retention and new revenue from public-facing areas.

Problem

AI-driven sales forecasting delivers accuracy but no explanation. Forecasters cannot justify predictions to stakeholders, so even correct predictions go unused.

What they built

Crystal Box shows why the AI's predictions change and lets forecasters add contextual factors such as exchange rates, weather or strikes that lie outside the model's training data.

Impact

Forecasters present AI insights with confidence. Sponsors tackle low AI adoption and recover the value of their forecasting investments.

Problem

Customers expect seamless, transparent interactions with their insurer, especially in sensitive situations. Insurers must combine digital technology with personal consultation while staying cost-efficient.

What they built

HUKKI is an intelligent first point of contact that understands customer needs and guides them to solutions. When a human is needed, it hands over with full context so nothing is repeated.

Impact

Customers get help any time and understand complex procedures. Service teams are freed for complex or high-priority cases.

Problem

Germany's 3.8 million small and micro-enterprises are run by professionally isolated owners. They decide alone, on intuition, because consultants are too expensive and advice too generic.

What they built

LexConnect matches entrepreneurs by industry, business size and current challenges. Confidential one-to-one conversations let them exchange real-world advice and build a trusted support network.

Impact

Owners make smarter, more confident decisions and save time. Lexware adds a community layer to its digital advisor strategy and a new channel for attracting users.

Problem

How might monitoring, valuing and trading avoided emissions nudge football fans into mobility habits that cut CO2, spread socially and last, with visible value for supporters and clubs?

What they built

Player 0 offers personalised route planning, real-time emissions tracking, carpooling options and a gamified system of challenges and rewards. Details of the solution are under non-disclosure agreement.

Impact

Long-term visibility of impact, conscious mobility choices, shared social experiences and incentives for sustainable practices.

Problem

Kenyan lecturers juggle heavy teaching loads while vital SUGAR templates and contacts sit scattered across Slack threads and drives. New teaching teams lose weeks hunting for basics.

What they built

The SUGAR Companion combines a Daily Dashboard, a step-by-step Task Compass, an AI-assisted Knowledge Hub and a Responsibility Map in one hub for Kenyan universities.

Impact

Onboarding becomes a guided sprint and students get better-prepared mentors. The network gains a replicable entry kit for expansion into Africa and beyond.

Problem

When a machine fails on a remote construction site, a mechanic can take hours or days to arrive. One breakdown can halt the whole operation.

What they built

More than half of machine issues are simple. Jack combines AI and computer vision with Volvo's official documentation to guide operators through diagnosis, so mechanics are called only when needed.

Impact

Less downtime and lower costs for users. Volvo CE collects real-world data on recurring failures to refine maintenance and machine design.
